Cover lETTER ziNE: aN iNTRO TO ME & dESIGN
I created this zine to simplify and visualize my background and interests in design from childhood through college and into my career. You may or may not have received one from me in the mail—either way, read through below!
Final Assembly

DRAFTS & PROCESS
A zine is a form of folded booklet that is initially printed on a sheet of paper. Historically, zines have been employed in the DIY and punk scenes to advertise, promote, entertain, and educate. Zines are a simple, inexpensive tool for creative expression. While learning how to make my own, I referenced the guide below published by The Enchanted Quill.
Step 1: Print
The pages of a zine are created when a sheet of paper is folded into quarters or eighths. When preparing a zine, it is important to remember that page content will not all be oriented to face the same direction.
Step 2: cut
In order to properly fold an eight-page zine, a cut must be made along the centerline in the middle of the page. I marked this portion with a printed dashed line for ease of bulk assembly.
Step 3: Fold & Crease
The final step of zine assembly! After folding into eighths, the cover is made to be the exterior, and the entire booklet can be creased to finish.
